I wrote Edh Ngalad in english, and Eirian Phillips translated it into elvish for me. It is a proclamation of love from Frodo to Periwinkle Proudfoot, a character I created for my story "The End of Days". Because it's not based on a poem, this was a little different to set music to than anything else I've turned into a song before. It worked out fine, however, being a progression of statements in repeating tune that amble and change to the climax. Like Meleth Ngalad, I studied the music of Dominican monks to learn how to layer the harmonies. Enya's work on the LotR soundtrack also helped a bunch!
